Star Energy Geothermal Darajat II, Limited has exclusive right until 2041 (for unit 1 & 2) and 2047 (for unit 3) to develop contract area under Joint Operation Contract with PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy (PGE) and sale of geothermal energy and electricity up to 330MW under Energy Sales Contract with PGE & PLN.

SEGD II supplies geothermal steam to the 55 MW power plant operated by PLN. It also supplies geothermal steam and operates a total of 219.5 MW, contributing electrical power to the Java-Madura-Bali grid. The commercial operations of Darajat geothermal project, located near Garut, West Java, commenced in November 1994 with a capacity near 145MW. With the completion and upgrading of Unit III in 2009, the total capacity of Darajat nearly doubled to 274.5 MW.
